Safety and Inflatable Sculpture
I haven't really looked at inflatable and interactive sculpture before, and it sadly took a tragedy to get me to start.
The Guardian reports on an accident involving this type of art in London that sadly cost a couple of people their lives, and injuring others: 'People fell out' as wind took blow-up sculpture
ArtDaily has more: Inflatable Sculpture Dreamspace Kills Two and Injures 12, which includes a description of the work, and a picture from the inside.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those involved, and to the artists and crew who put the work together.

Investigators are still trying to piece together how the 2,500 square metre sculpture, titled Dreamspace, became detached from its moorings at Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street and flew up into the air yesterday.

Art is not for sissies. Check out Luis Jimenez, for example, [wikipedia] who was recently killed by one of his own works.
A sad story. I like his art.
